Galt Joint Union Elementary School District
Community forums on school district budget shortfall in October and November
The state’s economy challenge continues to impact our school district. We project a $1.4 million budget shortfall each year in 2010-11 and 2011-12. Ideas and input are needed to effectively move forward for every student in tough economic times.
Parents and community members are invited to attend a GJUESD Table Talk Community Forum on one of the following dates:
• Thursday evening, Oct. 22 at Greer Elementary multipurpose room from 6:30-8 p.m.
• Thursday evening, Nov. 12 at McCaffrey Middle School multipurpose room from 6:30-8 p.m.
In addition, a District English Learner Advisory Committee (DELAC) Table Talk Forum will be conducted in Spanish next Tuesday, Oct. 20 at Fairsite from 4:30-5:30 p.m.
Community member ideas and support are important as we work together to strengthen student achievement in the most challenging of times for Galt’s children.
