The Wendy Hope Area Neighborhood Watch will hold its regular monthly meeting at 7 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 2 in the Pescetti Room at the Galt Police Department, 455 Industrial Drive.

Agenda topics include discussion of the free motion-sensing outdoor lighting made possible by a grant from PG&E and finalizing plans for our annual Christmas party.

The Galt Police Department was awarded a PG&E grant designed to provide qualified Galt area residents with outdoor security lighting for safety purposes. The lighting units, complete with flood lamps, will be distributed through Neighborhood Watch groups based on the following criteria: incidence of crime in a given area, reduced amount of ambient or street lighting, financial challenge, agreed upon locations for the area with neighborhood input.

If you would like to nominate a neighbor or yourself, please attend this important meeting.

The Wendy Hope Area Neighborhood Watch is defined by the Galt PD as A Street on the south, Elm Avenue on the north, Camellia Way on the east, and Lincoln Way (high school side of the street) on the west. Interior streets in the area are Park Avenue, Terrace Lane, Beno and Curtiss courts, and Wendy Hope Drive.

If you have questions about the meeting or any of the group activities, call Terry at 745-1889 or Diane at 745-2845. You are welcome to attend the next meeting on Nov. 2 at 7 p.m.
