Junior varsity takes first place
Galt Jr. Warriors took all four teams to the JAMZ competition held on Sunday night in Stockton. All four teams placed and came home with trophies.
The Jr. Warrior JV team took first place, varsity took third place, the rookies came in second, and the starts also claimed a second place win.
“These girls have worked extremely hard. Words cannot express how proud we are of them,” said Jr. Warrior Coach Barbara Welch. “Their stamina and determination played a big part in earning their trophies. They rose to the occasion and performed amazingly despite having lost some teammates a day before competition. It just shows how resilient these girls are”.
The girls are enjoying a few days off before they head back to the field to cheer on the Galt Jr. Warriors football teams in the playoffs. All four squads have qualified for JAMZ Nationals in Las Vegas. However, the Jr. Warriors have created a combined team from their junior varsity and varsity squad to create a competition squad they hope to qualify for nationals at the upcoming JAMZ competition being held in Fresno.
