Coffee with a Cop Oct. 2
Coffee with a Cop will next be held on Wednesday, Oct. 2 from 7:30-9:30 a.m., at Aroma Bakery, 241 S. Lincoln Way in Galt. Come join your neighbors and police officers for coffee and conversation. There is no agenda or speeches, just a chance to ask questions, voice concerns and get to know the officers in your neighborhood.
Antique Equipment Show
The annual Galt Fall Gas-up antique equipment show will be held Oct. 4-5 at McFarland Ranch on Orr Road in Galt from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., with free entrance and parking, brought to you by the Early Day Gas Engine & Tractor Assoc., Inc. Branch 13.
Free E-Waste Collection
A free e-waste collection will be held on Saturday, Oct. 5 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., in the F&M Bank parking lot at 10330 Twin Cities Road in Galt, as a fundraiser for United Way. Items may be dropped off in a drive-through area and unloaded for your convenience.
Accepted items include monitors, TVs, desktop and notebook PCs, VCRs, stereo equipment, CDs, speakers, keyboards, mice, PDAs, digital cameras, zip drives, telephones, cell phones, printers, copiers, laser and multifunction scanners and fax machines.
Unacceptable items are large household appliances (refrigerators, washers, dryers, etc.), furniture, hazardous household waste, including batteries, car batteries, paint, pesticides, used oil, cleaning supplies, fluorescent light bulbs, water heaters, tires, small household appliances such as toasters, microwaves, mixers and blenders, vacuum cleaners with the dust bag removed, curling irons, lamps, etc.

Bingo in Wilton
The Wilton History Group monthly Bingo Night fundraiser is the first Saturday of each month. Players must be 18 years of age to play and be at the event. Proceeds from Bingo will be divided between the Wilton History Group and the Wilton Community Center nonprofits. Friends of the Library Book Sale
On Saturday, Oct. 12, from 10 a.m.–12 p.m., the Friends of the Library will hold an outdoor Book Sale in front of the Galt library where patrons can purchase books for 50 cents each or pay $5 to fill a “grocery size” bag (which will be provided). Proceeds help provide funds for the library’s special programs throughout the year.
The Galt Market Movie Night
The Galt Market proudly presents Spookishly Fun Movie Night on Saturday, Oct. 19 as a free event in the city of Galt at Veterans Field, 900 Caroline Avenue. Gates open at 5:30 p.m., with trick or treat stations for costumed kids at 5:45 p.m., yummy food vendors, and the movie “Hotel Transylvania 3” starts at dusk. Bring your own chairs and blankets, family and friends.

HCC Trunk of Treat Oct. 25
Herald Community Club will host its inaugural Trunk or Treat at Herald Barn, Oct. 25 from 4-8 p.m. The event is being held in conjunction with the Arcohe School Harvest Festival. Dia de los Muertos Celebration
Galt-Arno Cemetery District invites you to a day of remembering and celebrating our loved ones at the Dia de los Muertos Celebration on Saturday, Nov. 2 at the cemetery, located at 14180 Joy Drive in Galt.
Mass by Father Miguel and blessing of the altars will begin at 9 a.m. The family celebration will continue with free entertainment, including Aztec dancers, mariachis, and face painting. Also featured will be altars, food trucks and a car show.
Red, White & Barbecue Nov. 9
Come out and support Galt police department’s CAPS and K-9 programs at the inaugural Red, White & Barbecue event Saturday, Nov. 9 at the Littleton Community Center, 410 Civic Drive, starting at 5 p.m. With music provided by The Travellers, this event will have food, raffle, silent auction and a no-host bar.
