Sip & Snack at the Mac

Advance tickets are available for $35 to attend the Galt Area Historical Society’s ninth annual Sip & Snack at the Mac, to be held at McFarland Living History Ranch, 8899 Orr Road, on Saturday, July 27 from 6-9 p.m. Live music by Phil & da Pinots will begin at 7 p.m. and finish off the evening at 10 p.m.

Public input sought for city manager recruitment

The city of Galt will host a public meeting to encourage input on qualities for a new city manager, Tuesday, July 30 at 6 p.m. The meeting will be held in the Littleton Community Center, 410 Civic Drive. Please come prepared to share your input on the desired qualities and experience you would like to see in Galt’s next city manager.

Bingo in Wilton

The Wilton History Group monthly Bingo Night fundraiser is the first Saturday of each month. Players must be 18 years of age to play and be at the event. Proceeds from Bingo will be divided between the Wilton History Group and the Wilton Community Center nonprofits. Ice Cream Social at the Rae

The Galt Area Historical Society will host an ice cream social at the Rae House Museum Sunday, Aug. 4 from 1 – 3 p.m. Ice cream and root bear floats are $5; those under 10 can enjoy ice cream for $3. The historic home will also be open for tours from 1 – 4 p.m.

National Night Out

Come join the Galt Police Department to National Night Out 2019 on Tuesday, Aug. 6 from 6-8 p.m. This event will be held at three locations in Galt and features jump houses, games for kids, music and lots of food, including hot dogs provided by GPD and side dishes brought by attending guests.

The three neighborhood locations include Meadowview Park at 1128 Meadowview Drive (southwest area), Galt library at 1000 Caroline Avenue (central area), and Galt Community Park at 1000 Walnut Avenue (northeast area).

Galt Balloon Festival

McFarland Living History Ranch on Orr Road will be the site of the Galt Balloon Festival on Aug. 10-11. Gates will open at 5 a.m. for visitors to watch the hot air balloons launch at sunrise. Tethered balloons will be available for rides at $10 per person, weather permitting. Admission is $10 in advance, $15 at the gate and $10 for VIP parking; children age 5 and under are free. Friends of NRA annual banquet

Galt Farm to Fork Dinner

Galt Ag Boosters present the Galt Farm to Fork Dinner in Old Town Galt on Sept. 21, with appetizers at 6 p.m., and dinner at 7 p.m. Cost is $75 per person and benefits the Galt High and Liberty Ranch FFA programs.
