Senior technology help
The Galt Youth Commission is, once again, hosting its Senior Technology workshop; however, you don’t have to be a senior. These workshops are open to all ages. Everyone is welcome to learn the basics of electronics and technology. Classes are hosted at the Galt United Methodist Church, 571 C Street in Galt. Dates are Oct. 30 and Nov. 6 at 3 p.m.
A free Harvest Carnival will be held Thursday, Oct. 31 from 4-8 p.m. at 446 Fairway Drive in Galt, with games, popcorn, raffle, candy walk, face painting, pony rides, photo booth, climbing wall, carnival rides, candy, hot dogs and nachos. Dia de los Muertos Celebration
Galt-Arno Cemetery District invites you to a day of remembering and celebrating our loved ones at the Dia de los Muertos Celebration on Saturday, Nov. 2 at the cemetery, located at 14180 Joy Drive in Galt.
Mass by Father Miguel and blessing of the altars will begin at 9 a.m. The family celebration will continue with free entertainment, including Aztec dancers, mariachis, and face painting. Also featured will be altars, food trucks and a car show.
Bingo in Wilton
The Wilton History Group monthly Bingo Night fundraiser is the first Saturday of each month. Players must be 18 years of age to play and be at the event. Proceeds from Bingo will be divided between the Wilton History Group and the Wilton Community Center nonprofits. Lasagna dinner for veterans
A Galt Veterans memorial benefit lasagna dinner will be held on Thursday, Nov. 7 from 4-7 p.m., at the Galt Seventh-day Adventist Church, 619 Myrtle Avenue in Galt. Cost is $9 for adults and free for children age 7 and under, and tickets will be $10 at the door. Veterans and current service members are served free. A door prize and other raffle prize tickets will be available.

Clue: On Stage
Galt and Liberty Ranch high schools’ theater department presents “Clue: On Stage” beginning Thursday, Nov. 7 at Galt High School Auditorium. The murder-mystery comedy thriller is based on the Paramount film and Hasbro board game. Tickets are $12 for adults, $10 for senior citizens and $8 for students/children. Red, White & Barbecue Nov. 9
Come out and support Galt police department’s CAPS and K-9 programs at the inaugural Red, White & Barbecue event Saturday, Nov. 9 at the Littleton Community Center, 410 Civic Drive, starting at 5 p.m. With music provided by The Travellers, this event will have food, raffle, silent auction and a no-host bar. Holiday Market Nov. 9
Galt Senior Club will host its annual Holiday Market Saturday, Nov. 9 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Chabolla Community Center, 610 Chabolla Avenue in Galt. Featured this year are new crafters who will join Tupperware, Avon, Sentsy and Origami Jewelry among many others, as well as rummage sale items. And don’t forget to stop by the bake sale table and raffle items. Shoppers can also enjoy lunch for $3. Proceeds from this event benefit high school scholarships. Live Nativity Dec. 5-7 in Galt
Galt Bible Church will present its Living Nativity on three evenings, Thursday through Saturday, on Dec. 5-7 at 801 Church Street. The walk-through presentation includes a tour through the town of Bethlehem on the night Christ was born, and is open from 6:30-8 p.m.
The Lighting of the Night Christmas Parade will be Saturday, Dec. 7 to assist Santa Claus down the streets of downtown Galt. All are invited to join in with schools, churches, businesses, teams and family floats. No fee is required. Senior Holiday Luncheon Dec. 12
Senior citizens are invited to a Senior Holiday Luncheon on Thursday, Dec. 12 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., prepared by The Real Men’s Club of Galt. The menu will include their famous barrel pork chops, mashed potatoes, green beans and Spaans Parker House rolls.
The holiday celebration will include a gift drawing and holiday entertainment at the Chabolla Community Center, 660 Chabolla Avenue in Galt. To RSVP, call 209-745-9174. Breakfast with Santa Dec. 14
Galt Market and Liberty Ranch Hawks baseball will host Breakfast with Santa on Saturday, Dec. 14 from 8:30-11 a.m. at the Chabolla Community Center, 610 Chabolla Avenue. Santa arrives at 8:45 a.m. and will need to head off to manage the naughty and nice lists at 10:30 a.m. Santa’s elves will serve pancakes, sausage, fruit and juice. Tickets are $6 in advance or $8 at the door, but space is limited. Bring your camera to snap a photo with Santa and Mrs. Claus.
