Valentine See’s Candy sales at library
Galt Friends of the Library are selling a Valentine assortment of See’s Candy at the Marian O. Lawrence Library, between 12 and 5 p.m. only, during regular library hours, through Friday, Feb. 14 or as long as supplies last. Proceeds will help support special library programs throughout the year.
tinySmiles races & health expo Feb. 8
The annual “tiny” Half kids fun run, 5k, 10k and half-marathon will be held on Saturday, Feb. 8 at the Littleton Community Center on Civic Drive. The half marathon starts at 8 a.m., with the 5k/10k at 8:15 a.m., the kids’ fun run at 9 a.m., plus a health expo from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Come Play Bingo
Galt United Methodist Church, which supports the Sunshine Food Pantry, will host Bingo on Saturday, Feb. 8 at 2 p.m., at 571 C Street. Players must be 18 years or older. The first 10-game buy-in is $10; additional paper buy-in is $5, and special games are $1 each. Winners will receive a gift basket. The fundraiser will benefit a special church project.
HCC Chili Cook Off
Herald Community Club will host a chili cook off and membership drive Feb. 15, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., at Herald Fire Department, 12746 Ivie Road. Come and enjoy some community fun and great chili. For just a $5 donation, you can become a member of the Herald Community Club and taste all the chili entries. Enter your special recipe or enjoy everyone else’s. Corned Beef and Cabbage Dinner March 14
The Alta Mesa Gun Club is having its annual corned beef and cabbage dinner at the clubhouse in Wilton on Saturday, March 14. The cost is $20 per person; children 12 and under are $10. Hope 4 Horses dinner
Hope 4 Horses will host a fundraising dinner Saturday, April 4 at the Littleton Community Center from 5:30-9 p.m. The event begins with a no-host bar and includes a silent auction, raffle, dessert auction, barbecue dinner, dancing and music by Stripped By Hippies. Tickets are $40 per person and child tickets are $25.
