Groundwater sustainability workshops

Two public workshops to review the Cosumnes Subbasin Groundwater Sustainability Plan will be held on Thursday, Sept. 16. The first in-person workshop will take place from 3:30 to 5 p.m., and the second is at 6:30 p.m. and ends at 8 p.m. A follow-up webinar will take place on Wednesday, Oct. 6 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. The location of the in-person meetings has yet to be determined. Summer Concert Saturday, Sept. 18

Saturday, Sept. 18, the city of Galt Sounds of Summer Concert Series will feature “Inner Soul Band” at Veterans Field, 900 Caroline Avenue, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Inner Soul features R&B and Funk music. Food trucks will be on site at Veterans Field to purchase food. Bring chairs and blankets for seating. Admission is $5 per person, with kids 12 and under free.

Community input sought on infill project Sept. 22

Fairfield Residential is proposing a mixed use infill project on the northwest corner of Walnut Avenue and Carillion boulevard. The developer will hold an open house to gather community input in the meeting room at Raley’s on Twin Cities Road. The meeting will run 6-9 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 22.

Farm to Fork Dinner Sept. 25 in Old Town

Galt Ag Boosters Farm to Fork Dinner is slated for Saturday, Sept. 25, from 6-9 p.m. on the Old Town Promenade on Fourth Street. Tickets can be purchased at by searching for Galt Ag Boosters. Tickets are $90. The event is open for all to attend to celebrate and support local agriculture, community, and FFA students from Galt and Liberty Ranch high schools.

Drive-In Movie at the Market Sept. 25

Galt’s Summer Drive-In Movie at the Market Grounds Series will feature “Peter Rabbit 2” (PG) on Saturday, Sept. 25. Sound will be transmitted via your vehicle’s radio. The movie will begin at dusk. Concessions sales will be provided by local nonprofits. Tickets are $25 per vehicle and are available online at

Harvest Market Oct. 16

The Galt Market & Fields and More present The Special Edition Harvest Market on Saturday, Oct. 16 from 5-8 p.m. at the Fourth Street Promenade. Activities will include a pumpkin patch, live music, food trucks, fall photos, artisan vendors and more.

Alta Mesa Gun Club’s Tri Tip dinner Oct. 16

The Alta Mesa Gun Club invites everyone to get into the fall sprit and join its annual tri tip dinner at the clubhouse on Saturday, Oct. 16. There will be multiple raffle prizes. The Galt Market proudly presents a “spookishly” fun and free movie night on Friday, Oct. 22 at Veterans Field on Caroline Avenue. Gates open at 5:30 p.m., and The Addams Family movie starts at dusk.
