C Street Enhancement Project
The city of Galt will host an open house at the Chabolla Community Center, 610 Chabolla Avenue, on Thursday, July 22 from 5:30-7 p.m. to gather community feedback regarding the C Street Enhancement Project. For those wishing to see and hear about the challenges that the area faces, a walking tour will begin at 3:30 p.m., starting at the parking lot of Papas & Wings, 803 C Street. National Night Out Aug. 3
Join the Galt Police Department at National Night Out 2021 on Tuesday, Aug. 3 from 6-8 p.m. The event will be held at three locations in Galt and features jump houses, games for kids, music and food. The three neighborhood locations are Meadowview Park, 1128 Meadowview Drive, Galt library, 1000 Caroline Avenue and Galt Community Park, 1000 Walnut Avenue. Herald Day Aug. 7
Herald Community Club will host the annual Herald Day event Saturday, Aug. 7 at Herald Park. Festivities kick off at 9 a.m. with the parade, a live auction at 11 a.m. and quilt raffle at 2 p.m. Food, vendors, crafts and kids games will be available all day.
Wilton History Group monthly Bingo Night fundraiser will return Saturday, Aug. 7, at the Wilton Community Center, 9717 Colony Road. Doors open at 6 p.m., games begin at 7 p.m. Other games include 50/50, pull-tabs and tic tac. Snack bar opens at 6 p.m. and remains open through half time. Players must be 18 years of age to play and attend the event; those not vaccinated should wear masks to protect themselves and others. Collectible Faire Aug. 28
The sixth annual Galt Drive Down Memory Lane Car Show will be held Saturday, Aug. 28 at McFarland Living History Ranch at 8899 Orr Road from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., with setup at 7 a.m. Sponsored by Radial Tire of Elk Grove, the show will include1972 vehicles and older, including pickups, muscle cars, custom, special interest, street rods, motorcycles, vintage campers and trailers.
