Antique Equipment Show Oct. 1-2
Early Day Gas Engine & Tractor Assoc. Branch 13 will hold an Antique Equipment Show on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 1-2 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at McFarland Living History Ranch, 8899 Orr Road in Galt to celebrate its 50th year. Free to the public will be a tractor parade, tractor-sled pulls, antique engines. Food will be available for purchase on Saturday. Wilton Bingo Oct. 2
Wilton History Group monthly Bingo Night fundraiser will return Saturday, Oct. 2, at the Wilton Community Center, 9717 Colony Road. Walk to End Alzheimer’s Yard Sale Oct. 9
A Walk to End Alzheimer’s Yard Sale will be held on Saturday, Oct. 9 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 134 Partridge Drive in Galt.
Items to purchase will include household décor, clothing, toys, holiday items, bedding, shoes, purses, prints, decorative mirrors, furniture, tools, a tool bench, frames, books, seasonal items, window treatments, bath towels, shower curtain, electronics, yard and garden items, quilt sets, daybed, paper goods, crafts and material.
Fill a Bag full for $2 between 2 and 3 p.m. Make an offer on all remaining items at 3 p.m., and participate in the raffle drawing for a theme basket at 3 p.m.
Alzheimer’s and dementia resources are available at the sale, and all proceeds go to the Alzheimer’s Association.
Our Lady of Fatima Celebration Oct. 11-18
The Our Lady of Fatima Society of Thornton is sponsoring its annual celebration in honor of Our Lady of Fatima Oct. 11-13 at the Our Lady of Fatima Society Hall and Mater Ecclesiae Catholic Church in Thornton.
Beginning Oct. 11 and continuing through Oct. 13, the recitation of the rosary and a Mass will be celebrated each evening at 7 p.m., and on Oct. 14 and 15 at 6:30 p.m., in the Portuguese language.
Saturday, Oct. 16, there will be a 10 a.m. Parade and Portuguese style bullfights at 2 p.m., with Mass celebrated at 6 p.m., followed by a candlelight procession.
Sunday, Oct. 17, Mass is at 10 a.m., followed by a procession; and Monday, Oct. 18, Portuguese style bullfights will be at 7 p.m.

Holiday Bazaar Oct. 16
You won’t want to miss the holiday bazaar to be held Saturday, Oct. 16 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., in the social hall of United Methodist Church at 571 C Street.
The bazaar will offer afghans, hats, scarfs, shawls, cowls, ear warmers, infant poncho with matching headband, stationery, miniature pottery, holiday refrigerator magnets, Christmas ornaments; cat, pig, frog and penguin mobiles, just to mention a few of the items available. A number of original paintings by Pat Frey Arrants will also be featured. Since the artist is deceased, these are collector’s items that will become unattainable.
