Summer concert Saturday, Sept. 4

Saturday, Sept. 4, the city of Galt Sounds of Summer Concert Series will feature “Bobby Zoppi & The Courduroys” at Veterans Field, 900 Caroline Avenue, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. This band features country hits and classics. Food trucks will be on site at Veterans Field to purchase food. Bring chairs and blankets for seating. Admission is $5 per person, with kids 12 and under free.

Patriot Day memorial event

Galt District Chamber of Commerce is hosting a Patriot Day memorial event on Saturday, Sept. 11 from 8-10 a.m. at Chamber Park on the corner of Fourth and C streets. A moment of silence will be observed at 8:46 a.m. to honor those who perished in the attacks on Sept. 11, 2001. Free doughnuts, coffee and juice will be provided.

Drive-In Movie at the Market Sept. 11

Galt’s Summer Drive-In Movie at the Market Grounds Series will feature “Soul” (PG) on Saturday, Sept. 11. Sound will be transmitted via your vehicle’s radio. The movie will begin at dusk. Concessions sales will be provided by local nonprofits. Tickets are $25 per vehicle and are available online at www.ci.galt.ca.us.

Plays in the Park Sept. 12

The Galt Market presents Pop-Up Plays in the Park Sunday, Sept. 12 from 6-7 p.m. at Galt Community Park, 1000 Walnut Avenue. Sunday’s performance will be “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow”. This free family event will feature a live actor performance by the Changing Faces Theater Company.

Farm to Fork Dinner Sept. 25 in Old Town

Galt Ag Boosters Farm to Fork Dinner is slated for Saturday, Sept. 25, from 6-9 p.m. on the Old Town Promenade on Fourth Street. Tickets can be purchased at Eventbrite.com by searching for Galt Ag Boosters. Tickets are $90. The event is open for all to attend to celebrate and support local agriculture, community, and FFA students from Galt and Liberty Ranch high schools.

Sip & Snack at the Mac Sept. 25

Advance tickets are available for $35 to attend the Galt Area Historical Society’s 11th annual Sip & Snack at the Mac, to be held at McFarland Living History Ranch, 8899 Orr Road, on Saturday, Sept. 25 from 6-9 p.m. Live music by Phil & da Pinots will begin at 7 p.m. and finish off the evening at 10 p.m.
