Friday Farmers Market

The Galt Market and the San Joaquin Certified Farmers Market will sponsor an evening Farmers Market on the Promenade on Fourth Street in Galt each Friday evening from June 5 through Sept. 25. The market will feature certified produce, fresh flowers and food vendors. Produce vendors will accept EBT and Market Match Purchases options. CDC guidelines for social distancing will be followed at each event. The event is open to the public and is free to enter. This community event promotes healthy eating, supports buying local, and strengthens community partnerships.

Light Display for Heroes

A spectacular drive-through light display to honor local heroes, with special tribute to Galt’s fallen police officer Kevin Tonn, is planned for the weekend of June 26-28 between 8:30 and 10 p.m., on the Galt Market Grounds at 610 Chabolla Avenue.

Tributes will include our First Responders, HealthCare Heroes and Military. This event will follow all rules of social distancing in a drive-through only venue. Monkey Glue Lighting will provide the light displays. For more information, visit www.ci.glt.ca.us or call 209-366-7160.
