Calendar items for the About Town section of The Galt Herald will be accepted for all local nonprofit events held for the community, and for nonprofit fundraising events at the discretion of the editor. Calendar items must be received by 12 p.m. on Monday to ensure publication in the Wednesday edition. All items must be received in writing or via email and must include a contact phone number. Vendor event Nov. 8
Pastosa By Lucia will host a vendor event on Sunday, Nov. 8 from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. at 545 Industrial Drive in Galt. A $16 all-you-can-eat buffet will be available, along with an $8 barbecue sandwich. Live music will be provided by Madi Bee and Jack Mid. Proceeds from the event will go to Loaves & Fishes for mental health services for the underprivileged.
Wilton History Group cancels event
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the Wilton History Group regrets the need to cancel its second annual Military and Veterans Appreciation Day celebration that was scheduled Nov. 11. The group wishes to acknowledge and express gratitude for all veterans and those military personnel currently serving the country. The group is looking forward to a celebration in November 2021.
Galt United Methodist Church, at 571 C Street, will be holding a Christmas Boutique on Saturday, Nov. 21 from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. A selection of crafted items and original art (paintings) suited for seasonal gift giving will be available to the public. In addition, a parking lot sale of gently used decorations will be offered. Proceeds to benefit the Galt United Methodist Church’s General Fund, to be used for both church-related and community-related projects. Facemasks will be required.
