Fiesta dinner fundraiser

Animal Friends Connection will hold its 18th annual Fiesta Dinner on Saturday, Sept. 26. Tickets are $40 per person paid for in advance by Sept. 24. Dinner for eight is specially discounted at $300 and dinner for 10 is $360 if paid for in advance. Due to COVID restrictions, the Fiesta Dinner is a social distance pickup and take-home or go to a park event. El Pazcifico Grill & Cantina in Lodi will be providing the dinner. Dinner will include rice, beans, tortillas, salsa and chips, and dessert; and each person may choose two entrees – chicken enchiladas, Chili Verde or veggie enchiladas. 2020 Walk to End Alzheimer’s

The annual Walk to End Alzheimer’s will be held on Oct. 17. Due to the pandemic, participants will be asked to walk in their own neighborhoods. Everyone registering, as well as raising funds or donating $100 by Sept. 17 will earn and receive the 2020 Walk to End Alzheimer’s shirt. Dine at Home Sacramento comes to Galt

Seniors in Galt can have free meals delivered to their homes 2-3 times a week thanks to Sacramento County’s Dine at Home Sacramento program. The meal delivery program, presented by the county’s Agency on Aging/Area 4, is available for residents 60 years old and older.

The county funds the program through the federal Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES Act).
