The Galt Beautification Committee proudly announced that the Galt Youth Commission has adopted one of our town’s busiest streets and for the next two years will keep it clean and beautiful. Lincoln Way,  especially the area in front of Galt High School, will be litter free thanks to the youth. They will also maintain the public area and make it weed free.

Galt Public Works Department will post a street sign with the organization’s name marking the street.

Saturday, Jan. 18 Carolina Murillo Cuevas, Alexa Murillo Cuevas, Alejandro Murillo, Elena Neuburger, Melissa Neuburger, Ashley Rivas, Riley Hemenover, Gabe Kunze and Paige Lampson attacked litter in that area for the inaugural cleaning.

The group was given safety instructions by Barbara Payne of the Galt Beautification Committee, and received a visit from officers of the Galt Police Department encouraging them a safe project while serving the city.

If anyone is interested in also adopting a street within the Galt city limits, contact Payne at barbarapayne@softcom.net.
