The Galt Businessmen’s Association met in regular session on Tuesday and elected Ed Olson president, Oscar Diede vice president, and Mrs. Hattie Stevens secretary-treasurer for the next year.
Born to Mr. and Mrs. Clifford May of Galt a baby girl named Denise, who weighed 8 pounds 3 ounces. The new addition to the May family was born Saturday morning, Nov. 11 at 4:45.

Winner of 11 trophies and placing in 14 or 15 parades is the record Judy Wilson of Galt set this past summer with her Tennessee Walking horse “Flash.” She is a freshman at Galt High School and the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dale Wilson.
Donald Schultz left from Travis Air Force Base Oct. 30 for Okinawa, where he expects to be stationed in the U.S. Army for 18 months … Milo Schauer, after three weeks spent at home, left Monday for his base at San Diego.

Laura Williams with a 516 series and 200 game paced the Tuesday morning Minnie Ha Ha Bowling League … Farmers & Merchants Bank rolled high team series for the Galt Men’s Handicap bowling team on Nov. 5, led by George Fox with a high series of 548.

The Galt Flea Market is operating for the third Thursday today during a trial run of twice weekly markets.
Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Hausauer of Galt announced the engagement of their daughter Jennifer to Michael Sienega of Lodi. Miss Hausauer is a teacher at Galt Christian School, and her fiancé is employed at Jim’s Gardening Service in Lodi.
This year’s delegates to the National FFA convention are Todd Ohm and Victor Vandenburg.
