In the closing minutes of the City Council meeting Monday night, Laurence Littleton resigned as City Councilman. Littleton resigned due to the press of new duties, which he has undertaken as a member of the faculty of the Sacramento Evening Jr. College’s music department and as the director of the Sacramento band of the National Guard.
Mr. and Mrs. Nick Listini of Galt are the parents of a baby daughter born Sept. 13 at 11:07 a.m. at Buchanan Hospital in Lodi. The new arrival is named Gina Lou.

Mr. and Mrs. Richard Turner and family moved back from Sacramento into their same house in Galt three weeks ago.
Tuesday Johnny Williams was given two parties by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Williams; an afternoon party for his playmates and a family party in the evening. The occasion marked his 3rd birthday.

Despite gale winds, the official ground breaking for the Commodore Mobile Home production plant in Galt was successful last Friday as men and equipment continued their race to beat the rain to get the utilities and foundation completed.
The Galt Chamber of Commerce has opened an office in the former water works building.

Officers of the student body at Valley Oaks are Sandra Johnson, president; Tammy Yotter, vice president; Missy Whaley, secretary; David Grundman, treasurer; Manuel Meza, sergeant-at-arms; Terry Northington, historian; and Chuck Craig, class representative.
The Galt branch of the Stockton Production Credit Association held an open house Friday at their new facility on Twin Cities and West Frontage roads north of Galt.
