Clayton Caldwell, who left Monday for an Army training camp, was honored at a dinner party given Sunday by his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. A.L. Caldwell of Galt. Clayton is a graduate of Galt High School.
The engagement of Miss Dorothy Reneau and Mr. Dale Clouse, which was announced Sept. 15, culminated in their wedding at Carson City Saturday, Oct. 11. Dorothy is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Reneau and an active member of the Christian Church. Dale is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Clouse. Both attended Galt High School.

Chief of Police and Mrs. Walter Froehlich of Oak Avenue are the parents of a daughter named Barbara Joan, born at Buchanan Hospital at 2:10 a.m. on Oct. 23. She weighed 7 pounds 10 ounces … Mr. and Mrs. Albert Breitmaier of Galt are the parents of a daughter, not yet named, born at Buchanan Hospital on Oct. 18. She weighed 6 pounds 3 ounces and arrived at 10:30 p.m.
Mr. and Mrs. Ike Fast have sold their 20-acre tract near Simmerhorn Road to Mr. and Mrs. Art Fischer, managers of the Richfield station in Galt.

Members of the Galt Junior Chamber of Commerce, meeting in regular session with President Elvin Miller, discussed plans to install “Welcome to Galt” signs at the C Street overpass.

Sherry Erich, daughter of the Harold Erichs of Galt, is now on a tour of the Midwestern states, a member of the Pioneer Roller Derby. She is a graduate of Galt High School class of 1971 and attended roller derby school for three months in Alameda last summer before being assigned to her present status.
Mr. and Mrs. Harry Denier, Galt, are the proud parents of a baby girl, Debora Lynn, born Oct. 8 in Lodi Community Hospital. She weighed 7 pounds 13 ounces.

George Fox, a 25-year veteran of the Galt Fire Department, was the recipient of the 10th annual Employee of the Year Award.
Ken Mattlin, Galt City Councilman for the past three and a half years, will resign his post on Nov. 1 to move to Fresno.
Rochelle Marie Steiner of Galt and Michael David Luis of Stockton exchanged marriage vows on Sept. 19 at the Cathedral of the Anunciation.
