Wow! Meet Gamora. This gorgeous thoroughbred mare was bred to race but was too slow to even make it to the starting gate. She’s just two years old and has a bright future ahead of her. She’s a little unsure, but very kind, and we know once she settles in with her human, she’s going to warm up and shine.

She’s 15 hands high right now and will continue to grow. If you want a project horse for any discipline, this is your gal!

Considering adopting Gamora or one of her friends? She currently resides at Hope for Horses, a nonprofit public benefit corporation dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating and retraining horses. Located at 10576 Arno Road in Galt, the organization welcomes your support for its rescue efforts through sponsorships, donations and volunteer opportunities.
