Shelby is an approximately 4½-month-old spayed female Miniature Pinscher/Chihuahua mix who weighs approximately 8½ pounds. This little sweetheart was just an 8-week-old bundle of love and energy when PALS rescued her. Though she had been abandoned, it didn’t take long for Shelby to warm up to our volunteers, and she could hardly contain her excitement at being held and getting lots of love and attention. Shelby is very happy and playful, and she’s full of puppy exuberance. Now that she’s fully vaccinated and able to go out into the large play yard, she’s been having so much fun running around in the grass and playing with all of the toys. It does take a lot of activity to wear this girl out, but when she’s had her fill of playtime out in the yard, she finds a nice shady spot, or a comfy lap, to curl up in for some relaxation. In addition to making sure she gets all her wiggles out of her in the play yard, our volunteers are also working with her on her basic obedience training. She has her “sit” command down, but will need work walking on the leash. Shelby is a very friendly and outgoing puppy, and she loves lots of play and interaction, so she would be best suited for a fairly active family that will be able to give her lots of love, and plenty of puppy playtimes. If you’re interested in giving our sweet Shelby the loving forever home that she needs, please come in and meet her.
