Annie Mae is an approximately 9-year-old spayed female Chihuahua who weighs approximately 7 pounds. This sweet senior girl is looking for a nice quiet home to call her own. Annie Mae was pretty shut down when she first came into the shelter. She would lie in her doggie bed and avoid even eye contact with our volunteers. It took a lot of patience and love, but Annie Mae slowly came out of her shell, and it wasn’t long before she started to look forward to spending time with our volunteers. Annie Mae won’t be running any marathons, but she still has a bit of spunk left in her and she can be pretty playful when the mood strikes her. Annie Mae walks well on the leash, too, and she seems to enjoy going for short, leisurely walks when it’s cool outside. For the most part though, Annie Mae is just a very calm and relaxed sweetheart of a dog that loves being around people and loves being doted on, whether she’s being cuddled in your arms or snuggling up in your lap for some restful relaxation. We’re looking for a nice quiet home, preferably one with no children, where Annie Mae can receive all of the love and attention she deserves. If you think you can give this sweetheart the forever home she needs, please come down and ask to meet Annie Mae.
