Arcohe School recognized outgoing Sacramento County Supervisor Don Nottoli on Nov. 14 for his service to the school and local community. During the regular meeting of the school board, the members paused business as Principal Troy Miller presented Nottoli with an apricot pie, baked that day by Spaans Cookie Co.

“You’ve always given back to our community. … Even on your last acts of office, you’re still thinking about the people of Arcohe and the kids, and it just means a lot to me,” Miller said.

Nottoli, who will leave his seat on the Sacramento County Board of Supervisors in January, said he has fond memories of his time working at Arcohe and then representing the Herald community and others on the Galt Joint Union High School District Board of Trustees.

“I’m not going anywhere. You’re actually probably going to see me in Galt more often (after leaving office),” Nottoli said. He encouraged Arcohe to reach out to his successor and commended the leadership for their work.
