Badges of honor

Scouts BSA Troop 1119 held just one court of honor on Jan. 5, but from another point of view, it held a dozen. In normal times, it holds the event to recognize the achievements of Scouts on a quarterly basis, but COVID-19 concerns have prevented that. So at the recent court of honor, Scouts received three years’ worth of rank and merit badges. In that time, some of the members have climbed the ranks from the basic Scout level up to the second-highest rank, Life. Scoutmaster Paul Baker said the troop has kept busy through virtual meetings and multiple outdoor activities. Parents of Scouts received pins celebrating their role in helping their children succeed.
