Saturday, June 15, the Galt Beautification Committee continued its goal to “Keep Galt Looking Good”.  They met with citizens, young and old, and picked up trash on C Street from Old Town to the freeway.

“C Street is the gateway to Galt, and we want to show our pride,” Beautification Committee member Barbara Payne said. “The biggest problem was picking up cigarette butts and straws.  Both are really bad for the environment, so when we found a straw we yelled ‘straw alert!’  We also recruited volunteers to help with Earth Day 2020 for the festival next April.”
