Elk Grove City Council Member Pat Hume, a candidate for the Sacramento County Board of Supervisors District 5 seat, held a barbecue in Galt on May 14, with hot dogs and other snacks. Galt Mayor Shawn Farmer also attended, and the two discussed issues impacting Galt, particularly growth, homelessness and taxes. The two said they had recently canvassed neighborhoods in the city to learn what residents want from their next supervisor.
