The Galt Herald and the Galt District Chamber of Commerce would like to invite you to an evening with the candidates, Wednesday, Sept. 30, at Horizon Community Church, 446 Fairway Drive in Galt. This is the only opportunity to hear from all of the candidates in each race in one setting.
Precautions will be taken to make the forums safe for those desiring to attend; those who are at high risk of the virus, or those who are simply uncomfortable attending, are encouraged to watch the forums live on The Galt Herald Facebook page. Please arrive early to allow time for symptom screening and set up.
Doors open at 5 p.m. for an opportunity to speak one-on-one with the candidates.
Galt elementary and high school district board of trustee candidates are invited to introduce themselves at 6 p.m.
Candidates seeking a seat on the elementary school board are Jared Gaynor, Traci Skinner and Casey Raboy.
Candidates for a seat on the high school board are incumbents Daniel Denier, Terry Parker, and throwing his hat back into the ring, Pat Maple.
The City Council question and answer forum will begin at 6:30 p.m.
Those running for a seat on City Council are Kevin Papineau, Kami Martin, Randy Morton, Jay Vandenburg and Keith Jones.
The candidates will have the opportunity to answer questions and respond to their fellow candidates. Be sure to attend to learn about each candidate and where they stand on local issues.
