A vehicle is stuck in the mud near the Jahant Road exit Wednesday, March 13 after a short pursuit. The three occupants were wanted in a suspected robbery at the Verizon Wireless Store on Twin Cities Road.

After a brief pursuit, Galt police officers apprehended three suspects Wednesday, March 13 after the three allegedly stole approximately $3,000 in display phones from the Verizon Wireless Store on Twin Cities Road.

Dispatch received the call around 1:30 p.m., reporting a “robbery in progress.” The suspects fled the scene in a black SUV.

Officer Castaneda found the vehicle traveling southbound on Highway 99, headed out of town.

Castaneda initially stopped the vehicle near Liberty Road before the driver again fled, engaging officers in a short pursuit to the Jahant Road exit.

Once exiting, the black SUV pulled over but got stuck in the mud.

Three adult subjects out of Lodi and Stockton were arrested. Two were booked at the Sacramento County Jail for charges including grand theft, evading arrest, possession of stolen property, vandalism and outstanding warrants.

The stolen property valued at approximately $3,000 was returned to the store.
