Brian Gonzalez, 59, of Galt died July 9, 2020 in an accident in Lodi. He was born April 26, 1961 in Los Angeles, where he spent his first 11 years with his family before moving to Lockeford.

Brian met his wife Gayle West of Stockton and they were married in 1980. They lived in Lodi for 19 years before building a home in Galt.

Brian worked for the city of Stockton for the past 19 years after previous jobs with Buz Oates in Sacramento, Paragon Property Management in Stockton, Frank Susich Masonry in Galt, and originally for his father at Mr. Ish Custom Auto Detail in Lodi.

Brian’s love of cars began early in his life. He enjoyed sports and loved camping, fishing, bike rides, racquetball and working out. He also loved food – eating, cooking and sharing recipes. He enjoyed gardening and nature. He was a Bible student his entire life and attended the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Woodbridge.

Brian adored his family, which included his wife Gayle and two sons, Gregory and Timothy. As time passed, the family grew to include Gregory’s wife Amanda and Timothy’s wife Rebecca, along with four grandchildren.

Surviving Brian are his wife of 40 years, Gayle Gonzalez; sons Gregory (Amanda) Gonzalez and Timothy (Rebecca) Gonzalez; grandchildren, Mason and Kelsey, Ian and Nathan; mother Marilyn Gonzalez; sister Tama Chante Kraemer; cousins Arlen Lee, Luke and Chemar Adams; uncle and aunt, Joe and Lisa Gonzalez; cousin Bethany Gonzalez; uncle and aunt David and Lisa Gonzalez, uncle Ernie Gonzalez, Aunt Sally Robbins; cousins Raymond, Rachel, Richard, Ruthie, Bobbie and Elizabeth Bernal; aunt Ruth-Ann Zamora; cousins Ester, Sarah, Joseph, Felipe, Mary Izreal, Leah and Jesse Zamora; aunt Margaret and Marcus; cousins Jeanne and Marty; and many more family members and dear friends.

Preceding Brian in death were his sister Pamela Synowicky; father Ismael Gonzalez; grandparents, J. Warren and Madora Adams, Joe and Ester Gonzalez; aunt and uncle, Gin and Raymond Adams; and cousins Robert Zamora, Donald Adams and Vera Adams.

A private funeral service will be held on Friday, Aug. 14 at Cherokee Memorial Park in Lodi, with remembrances or contributions accepted in lieu of flowers. A Letter from the Family can be read at Cherokee Burial will take place in the Cascade Scattering Garden. The family extends thanks to everyone for all their love, prayers and support.
