Christine Landers.jpg

Christine Landers died unexpectedly from cardiac complications on October 7, 2022 in Santa Clara, California while visiting a friend. She will be greatly missed by friends and family.

Chris was born February 27, 1970 in Walnut Creek, California. She attended elementary school in Grand Coulee Washington and then in Lodi, California. She graduated from Liberty High School in Lodi in June of 1988. Shortly after graduation, she married Erric Stacey and started a family. Later in life she married Mike Landers whom she stood by until his passing in 2013.

Chris was a free spirit with many loves. She loved going to estate sales and thrift sales to reclaim items to beautify as works of art or reinventions for practical use. She thoroughly enjoyed building koi ponds and creating yard sculptures. But Chris’s greatest love was for her American pit bulls who she cared for all of her life.

Chris was a kind person who always had a smile and a shrug of her shoulders for all of life’s situations. She could never be tied down to one path or other peoples’ expectations. She lived life on her own terms and saw only the good in others. She was a trusted friend to those who knew her and she loved her family.

Chris is preceded in death by her husbands, Erric Stacey and Mike Landers, as well as her father Roy Roberts. She is survived by her mother Tommy Evans; siblings James (Antoinette) Roberts, Sherry (Thomas) Daley, and Rachael Ackerman; children Erric Stacey Junior, Chrystal Woolstrum, and Maggie Woolstrum; and nieces and nephews Synnove Roberts-Cook, Seth Roberts-Cook, Oscar Daley, Ross Daley, and Frances (David) Jost.

Friends and family will gather at Walker Community Park, 13665 Sargent Avenue Galt, on Sunday October 23th, at 12:00 to honor her passing.
