Corey G. Ritter

Corey Gene Ritter, 50, and longtime resident of Galt, passed away unexpectedly on Feb. 10, 2020. He was born to Kenneth and Yvonne Ritter on April 2, 1969. Shortly after, he became a big brother to Kevin Ritter. Corey attended school in Galt, graduating from Galt High School in 1987.

Throughout Corey’s life, he worked in different trades, but what never changed was his love for his motorcycle and the water. When he wasn’t at work, Corey could always be found riding his motorcycle or out on his boat fishing.

Known for being a loyal, compassionate and caring friend, Corey made a lasting impression on anyone who came into contact with him.

Surviving Corey are his brother Kevin Ritter and aunts Deva (Jim) Schultz of West Sacramento and Jeanne Hanson of Lodi, and an endless list of friends who he considered family. He also leaves behind his dog “Boobie” and his late mother’s dog “Bentley”.

Corey was preceded in death by his father Kenneth Ritter and mother Yvonne Ritter.

A celebration of life will be held for Corey on Friday, March 13 at 2 p.m., on Wimpy’s Marina deck at 14001 W. Walnut Grove Road in Walnut Grove.

A potluck will follow the celebration. If there are any questions regarding the potluck, please call 209-329-1370 or 209-570-2902.
