Diane B. Casado

Diane B. Casado

Diane Berdot Casado passed away peacefully on Aug. 8, 2020 at home, surrounded by family. She was born in Modesto to Joseph and Helen Berdot.

After graduating from Downey High School in Modesto, she moved to San Jose to attend junior college. It was in San Jose where she met Ron Casado. They married in 1960 and moved to Galt where they raised their four children, Karin Casado, Ronnie Casado, Lisa Casado-Loudermilk and Laurie Casado. She was deeply devoted to her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, and each held a very special place in her heart. Her love, hugs and smiles will be treasured forever. She will be forever loved and missed.

For 30 years, she was a secretary at Valley Oaks Elementary School. She was an integral part of the everyday duties of assisting students, staff and parents. She touched many lives and created lasting memories for all that knew her. She had the most amazing circle of friends. She kept in touch with her grade school and high school friends. They would meet up yearly for a girl’s weekend trip to Carmel and Monterey where they shared laughter and good times. She also had her GNO (girls night out) group that would meet once a month for an evening of good food and laughter. They have done this for 30 years. Every get-together brought joy and happiness to her. She also had a loving group of friends in Galt that were near and dear to her. She absolutely loved all the visits, phone calls, cards and texts she received. The love and support she felt from each of them was a great source of comfort and support during her eight-year brave battle with cancer. During this time, she always remained positive and graceful. In her free time and after retiring, she enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling, going out to eat, antique shopping and looking for collectibles.

Surviving her are daughters Karin Casado and Lisa Casado-Loudermilk (Jack Loudermilk); grandchildren Ronnie Casado (Kaitlin Casado), Casey Casado (Della Casado), Brian Casado (Brittney Casado), Kyle Casado-Honeycutt (Tiffany Casado-Honeycutt), Clayton Casado, Brooke Casado Bolin, Chase Casado, Kaitlynn Loudermilk and Eastynn Loudermilk; great grandchildren Adelaide Diane Casado-Honeycutt, Bailee Lynn Casado, Stella James Casado and Cole Alden Casado-Honeycutt.

Preceding her in death were her daughter Laurie Casado and son Ronnie Casado; parents Joseph and Helen Berdot, and her brother Thomas Berdot.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, services will be private.
