Felicidad Mariano, born Oct. 7, 1940 in Mabalacat, Pampanga, Philippines, died Feb. 18, 2019 in Sacramento at 78 years old. She has lived in Elk Grove the last 11 years and retired as a schoolteacher and school principal. She was a member of All Nations Seventh-day Adventist Church. She enjoyed cooking, crocheting and growing orchids.
She is survived by her husband, Leoncio Mariano Jr.; children, Aaron Mariano, Penina Vegafria and Anamae Mariano; five grandchildren, Anabelle, Megan, Nathan, Refrie and Rianne; siblings, Tripona Tayag, Gregorio Yalung Jr. and Marina Castro. She was preceded in death by her parents Gregorio Yalung Sr. and Filomena G. Yalung; and siblings Lourdes Groymonte and Benjamin Yalung.
Viewing will be on Sunday, March 3 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Galt Seventh-day Adventist Church, 619 Myrtle Ave., followed by a funeral service at 2 p.m. Pastor William Gemora will officiate. Interment is private. She trusted the Lord Jesus Christ throughout her life; just before she passed, she said that she was ready to rest in Jesus.
