Gary Carl Wiesepape of Galt, Ca and formerly Masontown, WV passed away on May 8, 2023 from a lifelong battle of heart disease. He is the son of the late Charlie and Marie Wiesepape.
Gary was born August 15, 1941 in Lodi, CA, he grew up on the Locke Ranch in Lockeford, CA and attended the local school. He met and married Kathy Lund in 1966. They had two children, Sam and Shawn who they raised in Galt, CA. Gary and Kathy were married for 46 years until her death in 2012.
Gary owned several businesses with his wife including, Poppies Pot House, Poppy Patch Florist, where he spent many hours delivering flowers and Poppies Upholstery. In addition to the multiple business he owned, he also worked for his brother-in-law and sister-in-law at Consolidated Pallet He also worked at Black Welders, Goehring Meat, Waltons Marine and Delta Marine. Gary was a Jack of all trades and a master of all! Gary was very good with his hands, he had many hobbies such as restoring classic wood boats, building RC trucks and boats, wood working, and he loved fast cars. He also loved to cook and shop, he couldn't turn down good deal.
Gary enjoyed sharing his knowledge of antiques, woodworking, cooking and many of his other talents. He was always willing to lend a hand to anyone that needed it. Gary was an unofficial teacher of life, from the minute you met him you were unknowingly going to learn something from him, from teaching you how to build a boat to teaching you how to cut up a watermelon, you always walked away with a little more knowledge after spending time with Gary, his life lessons will be carried on thru many generations.
He is proceeded in death by his wife Kathy, his parents and sisters Charlene Crotwell and Mary & Brother-in-law Ralph Irwin. He will be sadly missed by his loving children Sam (Kaitlyn) Wiesepape and Shawn Galusky, grandchildren Amelia and Grace Wiesepape, Jimmy (fiancé Michelle) Galusky, Gig (fiancé Sierra/Red) Galusky, two great grandchildren Jaxon and Maisie, Brother-in-law and sister-in-law Danny & Cheri Lund, nephew Mike (Debbie) Irwin, niece Debbie (Rodney) Turner numerous great nieces and nephews, adopted daughter Karen (Manuel) Valencia and his best friend Enzo Cardelli of Roshelle's Antiques in WV.
There will be a celebration of life at the home of his niece Debbie and Rod Turner 190 Spree Ct Galt, Ca on Sunday May 21, 2023 at 1:00 pm.
