Harry Rosero McCoy, 77, passed away in Galt with his family surrounding him on May 19, 2022. He was born on Nov. 6, 1944 in San Francisco.
Harry resided in Galt for 3½ years before his passing. He also lived in Madera for 14 years and various cities in the Bay Area, including San Francisco.
Harry was a member of congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Galt. He enjoyed coin collecting; researching history, especially African American; anthropology; and bid whist card games with family and friends.
Harry is survived by siblings Carry McCoy, Victoria Tapia and Marcellino Tapia; spouse Gloria Jean McCoy; children Richard Bellamy, Harry Rosero McCoy Jr., Leticia Berry, Jaran Devore, Dana Lawrence and John McCoy; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and extended family.
Preceding Harry in death were his mother Doris McCoy and grandson Maliek Jasper (son of Dana Lawrence).
A virtual service will be held via Zoom on June 18, 2022 at 1 p.m., with Jehovah’s Witnesses elder Richard Bellamy.
