Maria Rosa Araujo passed away surrounded by her family on Sept. 24, 2022 in Sacramento. She was born on July 6, 1960 in Guerrero, Mexico, and was 62 years when she passed.

Maria Rosa has been a resident in Galt for 13 years. She also resided in Isleton in the Delta area of California for 20 years.

Maria Rosa was a member of Latter-Day Saints in Galt. She loved gardening; she loved to see her garden full of beautiful flowers and plants; she loved being out in nature. She also loved scripture reading, music, dancing and cooking.

Maria Rose is survived by her daughter, Maria Raquel Hernandez of Galt; four grandchildren, Edith Porras, Edgar Porras, Andrea Hernandez and Alexander Hernandez of Galt; sisters, Yanet Abarca of Galt, Elia Araujo of Thornton; and brother, Quirino Araujo of Texas.

A viewing will be held on Friday, Sept. 30 at 9 a.m., followed by a church service at 10:30 a.m., at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 972 Vintage Oak Ave., in Galt. A graveside service at Galt Cemetery, 14180 Joy Drive, will take place at noon.
