Ramon Larios Cuevas, 86, passed away peacefully at home on Nov. 29, 2020. He was born on Nov. 2, 1934 in Michoacán, Mexico.
Ramon lived in both the Delta area and Galt. He worked for Tokuyoshi Bros. Farms from the early 1960s until he retired in 1996.
Ramon spent his later years working on the family ranch, where he spent his time tending to the animals and his garden with his grandchildren. He was always found to be the happiest when surrounded by his grandchildren.
Ramon attended St. Christopher’s Catholic Church of Galt.
Ramon, or “Papa Mon” as his family called him, was preceded in death by his wife Maria “Lupe” Cuevas. He is survived by his four children, Fred (Pamela) Cuevas, Lorena (Danny) Amaro, Victor (Maria) Cuevas and Sandra Cuevas; grandchildren Sandra (Kevin) Foreman, Alexis (Cody) Durham, Alyssa Cuevas, Maycee Cuevas, Andi Amaro, Nikolas Cuevas, Bella Amaro, Viviana Cuevas, Valeria Cuevas and Venessa Cuevas; great-grandchildren Gabriela Foreman, Camila Foreman and Jaxson Durham.
A visitation will be held Friday, Dec. 4 at 2 p.m., and a Rosary Service at 6 p.m. at Ben Salas Funeral Home, 149 Fourth Street in Galt.
A graveside funeral will be held Saturday, Dec. 5 at 10 a.m. at Galt-Arno Cemetery District, 14180 Joy Dr. in Galt.
