Steve Medina

Steve (Esteban) Medina, 86, of Galt passed away peacefully on May 28, 2020 at home. He was born March 28, 1934 and was the oldest of five children born to parents Veneranda and Luis G. Medina.

Surviving Steve are his wife of 57 years Cheryl Medina, son Steve (Linda) Medina, brother Daniel Medina, sisters Birdie (Ron) Vierra and Patricia (Bob) May; five grandchildren, Samantha Ray, Chelsea Needham, Nicholas, Mason and Madison Medina; and one great-grandchild Cameron Needham.

Preceding him in death were his parents, brother Luis (Leci) Medina and daughter Linda Dee.

Steve was born in Colorado and a proud Army veteran. He and his wife Cheryl were married in 1962 and lived in Galt where they raised their family. Steve owned or worked in businesses, including General Mills, Galt Machine & Welding, Alpine Helicopters, Branding Iron Realty, Replay Saloon and Eatery, Galt Builders, and his floral supply business. He was a loving husband, son, brother, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend to many. He was known for his love of family, creating from imagination materials and landscapes that made him an artist, and a man that knew no strangers.

No services are currently scheduled, and a remembrance will be scheduled for September.
