McCaffrey cross country competed at the Capital Cross Challenge in Sacramento on Saturday, Sept.28. It was the largest cross country event in Northern California with 6,000 total runners competing.

The Bulldogs’ next meet will be the Flat Sac two-mile in Elverta.

On Saturday Sept. 28, the boys team started the race day for the Bulldogs.

For the 1.4 mile course, the boys team finished 18th. Kyle Oltmanns finished 64th with his time of 8:40, Elijah Farren 9:22, and Seth Abbott had a time of 9:23 to round out the top three Bulldogs..

The girls team finished 14th; Gloria Arana finished 78th with her time of 10:16, Sofia Felix finished 87th with her time of 10:24, Eden Lethbridge fnished with a time of 10:45 to round out the top three Bulldogs.

“Everyone is getting faster and the kids are a fun group to have,” said McCaffrey coach Robert Dorheim.
