Liberty Ranch softball player Sierra Dunnagan will be heading to Shawnee State in the fall to continue her softball career. She signed her contract last week during a celebration at Liberty Ranch attended by friends, family, teammates and Liberty staff.

Shawnee State is a public University in the NAIA Division 1 conference. They have about 2,800 undergraduate students enrolled, and Dunnagan will study in the nursing program. She hopes to specialize in pediatric nursing.

Dunnagan says she likes the family atmosphere she will be a part of. “I picked Shawnee State because I loved the family environment that the girls on the team and the coach welcomed me into, and I know that Shawnee will feel like a second home,” said Dunnagan. “I am officially signed as a utility player, so I will play wherever I’m needed and, hitting wise, I was told I would fit right into the lineup.”

Dunnagan is thankful for all the years of support from her parents and family, and thanks her coaches for teaching her skills and to never give up and give her all.
