Aidan Hall spent a week at the USA Baseball National Training Complex in Western Cary, North Carolina this summer.

Hall, who was an all-league player at Galt High School as a sophomore this past season, was part of the National Team Identification series last year and was one of 80 kids chosen from all over the country to play in the national team development program this summer.

The camp was all-expense-paid by USA Baseball and, along with the physical skills, they had mental skills coaching, financial advising and even former Navy Seals work with them. Hall, who plays shortstop, said if he had to pick, he got the most from the mental skills mentoring. Hall’s favorite baseball quote is “Building my dream for glory”.

Every player that went this year is eligible to go again next year, and the high school seniors will be scouted and will most likely go straight to the draft or have opportunities to play on a collegiate team. Hall, who is just entering his junior year at GHS, has already had some college offers, but hasn’t made any decisions.
