Last Wednesday was the final game for Galt tennis, and 13 seniors were honored with flowers and awards by head coach Jonathan Jonas.

“These seniors demonstrate what tennis is all about – perseverance and commitment,” said Jonas. “The last two years were by no means normal and that didn’t stop them. Even though I know they are moving on to amazing futures, it is still difficult to say goodbye. They are a foundation of our program. True warriors.”

For their senior night match against El Dorado, it was the doubles that came away with wins. Brian Jimenez and Andrew Villa won 6-1, 6-1, Joseph Torrez and Mario Aceves 6-3, 6-2, and Mick Watts and Carolina Bagnasco 6-2, 6-0.

Their last game against Rosemont noted more victories. Victor Arana won singles 2 6-3, 6-1, Brian Jimenez and Andrew Villa won doubles 1 6-4,6-2, Mario Aceves and Mick Watts won doubles 2 6-0, 6-0, Abigail Boyd won singles 1 4-6. 7-6 (7-3), 7-5, Adamary Herrera won singles 2 6-3, 6-4, Cecilia Landa and Alexa Murillo Cuevas won doubles 1 7-6 (8-6), 6-0, and Zachary Johnson and Carolina Bagnasco won mixed doubles as a forfeit.
