Another record was broken for the Galt Gators when they hosted the Laguna Creek Sports Club Gators on June 29 as they saw Luke Ortega break his own Gator record in the 11-12 boys 50 yard butterfly after he swam to a time of 28.93 seconds.

Adding to the fun were 20 Meet of Champions-qualifying times that were earned by nine Galt Gators at the meet.

The Gators lost in the team score 500-327 to Laguna Creek but will look to rebound this week as they swim their final home meet of the season.

In the boys 7-8 100 medley relay, Galt’s team of Rhett Baird, Parker Graham, John Carey and Maxx Thomlinson won with its time of 1:42.29.

In the girls 15-18 200 medley relay, Marie Carey, Helen Carey, Jasmine Truong-Him and Fernanda Sanchez won with their time of 2:08.06.

In the boys 15-18 200 medley relay, Caleb Stewart, Andrew Behrmann, Shea Graham and Dylan Klein won with their time of 1:56.93.

Ann Carey won the girls 13-14 100 IM with her time of 1:10.01, and in the girls 15-18 100 IM, Carey won with her time of 1:08.97. Carey also won the 50 breaststroke with her time of 37.45

Matthew Burns won the boys six and under 25 free with his time of 22.10 seconds.

John Carey won the boys 7-8 25 free with his time of 16.98 seconds. Carey also won the 25 backstroke with his time of 21.34 seconds and later won the 25 breaststroke with his time of 25.17 seconds.

In the girls 9-10 25 free, Maggie Thomlinson won with her time of 15.42 seconds.

Taylor Klein won the girls 11-12 50 free with her time of 29.21 seconds.

Ortega also won the 50 free with his time of 26.89 seconds as well as the 100 free, in which he finished with a time of 59.40 seconds.

In the boys 13-14 50 free, Jacob Huck won with his time of 25.26 seconds. Sanchez won the girls 15-18 50 free with her time of 27.11 seconds.

Matthew Burns won the boys six and under 25 backstroke with his time of 27.87 seconds. Joseph Burns won the boys 9-10 25 backstroke with his time of 19.94 seconds.

Helen Carey won the girls 15-18 100 backstroke with her time of 1:08.66 and in the boys 7-8 50 free, Maxx Thomlinson won with his time of 42.66 seconds.

Maggie Thomlinson won the 9-10 50 free with her time of 33.87 seconds and Madalyn Truong-Him won the girls 11-12 100 free with her time of 1:06.95.

Sanchez won the 100 free with her time of 58.16 seconds.

In the boys 15-18 100 free, Caleb Stewart won with his time of 55.33 seconds.

In the girls 11-12 50 breaststroke, Taylor Klein won with her time of 39.27 seconds.

Huck won the boys 13-14 50 breaststroke with his time of 32.12 seconds and Helen Carey won the girls 15-18 100 breaststroke with her time of 1:18.61.

In the girls 9-10 25 butterfly, Ariane Whyte won with her time of 19.12 seconds.

In the boys 7-8 100 free relay, Thomlinson, Axton Bussman, James Burns and Carey won with their time of 1:21.72.

The girls 15-18 200 free relay team of Sanchez, Truong-Him, Carey and Carey won with its time of 1:50.25.

Behrmann, Graham, Klein and Stewart won the boys 15-18 200 free relay with their time of 2:08.90.

The Gators will take on Sunrise at home Saturday, July 6.
