The Liberty Ranch Hawks golf team held its first two matches of the season last week and split their games against El Dorado and Bradshaw Christian.

Dodging droplets during their rainy match against the Pride, the Hawks won 263-331.

Two players tied for the Hawks’ lowest score; Brady Roenspie and Jordan Seashore led with their contribution of 51.

Jacob Rodriguez of the Pride led all scorers with 49 points.

The Hawks started the season two days earlier by hosting El Dorado, who outscored Liberty Ranch 276-291. Jorge Oceguera and Ben Mitchell led the Hawks with their scores of 53 apiece, while Jason Romig of the Cougars led all scorers with 47 points.

The Hawks’ next match is today on the road against Rosemont at 3 p.m.
