The Liberty Ranch Hawk’s volleyball team played their Foundation game Monday night against Ripon High School.

They fought hard and won the first match 25-17, Ripon reversed the score for the second match and won Ripon 25, Liberty Ranch 18. The third match was anyone’s game with Ripon eventually on top 26-24.  The Hawks seemed to run out of steam and went down in the fourth and final match 25-8.

Head Coach Mark Snow used the opportunity to assess skills and gave some playtime to all who were eligible to play.

“I was proud of the way the girls played tonight,” said Snow. “We served the ball very well, which did not happen on Friday night. We put ourselves in position to win that match but made too many mistakes in the end. Ripon is a very good team and we were competitive tonight. I can’t wait for this team to get more reps together. It’s going to be a fun ride this season.

The team has nine returning seniors, two juniors, two sophomores and one freshman.
