After facing their city rival in three matches this season, the Liberty Ranch Hawks found themselves in a familiar place as they defeated the Galt Warriors to take home the sweep.

The Hawks hosted and despite a solid performance by the Warriors in the first set and another close score in the second set, Liberty Ranch won 25-22, 25-20 and 25-15.

The win put the Hawks at 6-1 in the Sierra Valley Conference, leaving them in second place behind Union Mine, while the Warriors were tied with Bradshaw Christian with identical 1-6 league records.

The Warriors will look for their second win over Bradshaw Christian today when the two teams face off at Warrior Gym at 5 p.m. while the Hawks will attempt to break into a tie for first place with the Diamondbacks at 6 p.m. today when they travel to Placerville for their second league meeting with Union Mine.
