Hawk baseball kept busy over Spring Break by hosting a tournament at Galt Community Park. The Easter Tournament also kept parents busy volunteering to cook, run the snack bar, keeping score and various other details needed to host events.

There were seven teams that participated in the tournament. River City won it with their Division 2 pitcher Freddy Rodriguez, who is ranked 95th in California and was throwing balls clocked at 96mph.

The other teams that participated were Cosumnes Oaks, Redwood Christian, Woodland, Monterey Trail, Sheldon and Liberty Ranch.

The Hawks lost to River City 14-1, but catcher Shaye Setter was able to make it across the plate with a RBI from Lucas Manning. No other team was able to hit off of River City’s Rodriguez during the tournament but Liberty Ranch.

The Hawks will face Galt High on Wednesday at home, then again Friday night at Warrior Field.
