Liberty Ranch girls soccer has played two league games so far, and they have one win and one tie under their belts.

The first game against Rosemont finished with a 2-0 shutout with senior Kaytlynn Staley and sophomore Natalie Merin making the goals with assists from sophomore Maryn Rogers on both goals. Goalie Ariana Anaya had 8 saves and didn’t let one ball cross into the net.

The next game with Bradshaw Christian at home didn’t have the results the Hawks wanted despite being in control of the ball most of the game.

Liberty Ranch scored first and early with a goal by sophomore Maryn Rogers with an assist by senior Alicea Castaneda.

Goalie Ariana Anaya earned 8 saves while the Bradshaw goalie Grace Garcia completed 10 saves.

Head Coach Rob Huarte gives credit where credit is due.

“My personal opinion is Bradshaw Christian came to play tonight,” said Huarte.

“They were quick, they were aggressive and had really good passing. We countered and passed well, but I thought we were very uncreative on the finishing third, and that cost us the win.”
