The Hawks practically shut down Rio Linda at the Knights home field last Friday night. Before the clock had run out, Liberty Ranch had 66 points on the board to the Knights 18 points.

Arthur Draeger scored three rushing touchdowns and rushed for a total of 158 yards. Draegar also scored another when he ran the opening kickoff back for a touchdown.

Kymani Fenika ran for 97 yards and scored a touchdown rushing and threw a 23-yard pass for a touchdown.

Once again, Hunter Maberto led the defense with 14 tackles, including a tackle for a loss.

Head Coach Anthony Linebaugh and his team are looking forward to their first league game this week.

“We are happy to end the preseason on a winning note and look forward to the league season, which starts this week,” Linebaugh said.

The Hawks’ first league game will be against Rosemont at home for the school’s homecoming.
