Liberty Ranch High School hosted its second unified sporting event Thursday, Sept. 26, where students from both high schools went head to head in a special soccer game.
High school athletes from Liberty Ranch and Galt high schools were paired up with Special Olympic athletes from their respective schools to compete in the co-ed event.
Liberty Ranch High School head varsity football coach Anthony Linebaugh worked with the athletes, as well as the teachers from each school, to help make the game a success.
Music and announcements by Austin Davis and Jason McLarty, along with cheering from fans for both teams, made for an exciting event.
The score teetered back and forth throughout the game, but in the end, the Liberty Ranch team came out on top.
