Liberty Ranch volleyball played Rosemont Monday night in their first league game at home. The Hawks shut them down in three sets, 25-6, 25-17, 25-22.

Their first league game was away last Wednesday at El Dorado. The Cougars made them work for it and it came down to five sets, 19-25, 26-24, 20-25, 25-19, 15-4.

Head coach Mark Snow said they played to their potential. “We played very well like I expected,” said Snow. “I knew that Rosemont wouldn’t have a lot of people to block us. We needed to make sure we played defense and served well in the beginning. We took care of business, and I was able to get everybody in tonight, which is huge, and they still played to their potential. It’s a good team win, we served the ball exceptionally and we are going to take it to Bradshaw on Wednesday.”

Paityn Snow led with eight kills, followed by Haley Smith with eight and Rachel Smith with five.

For the season, Paityn Snow is leading in kills with 187, Rachel Smith 157 and Haley Smith with 94.  Carlie McCormick is the leader in digs with 161 so far this season with Paityn Snow close behind with 149 and Haley Smith with 99.
